Data Deletion Request
Last Updated: July 17, 2026
Meta App Review Compliant
At Radikikk Ecommerce, you have the right to request deletion of the personal data we hold about you. This page explains exactly what we store, how to request deletion, and what to expect after you do.
What Data We Store
Depending on your interactions with our Instagram account and DM-based order system, we may hold the following data about you:
- Instagram username and profile information — collected when your comment or DM triggered our automation.
- Comment text and DM message history — stored in our database on Railway for up to 90 days for service operation and support.
- Order details — if you placed an order via DM: your name, phone number, and shipping address, stored in Shopify.
- Cached profile data — temporary Instagram profile picture and username cache used to personalise automated replies.
How to Request Deletion
What to Include in Your Request
To help us locate and delete your data accurately, please include the following in your email:
- Your Instagram username (e.g. @yourusername)
- Approximate date(s) of interaction (if known)
- Whether you placed an order via DM and if so, any order reference or the phone number used
What We Will Delete
Upon a verified deletion request, we will:
- Delete all stored DM conversation history and comment interaction logs associated with your Instagram account from our database.
- Delete any cached Instagram profile data (username, profile picture) held in our system.
- Remove your email address and contact information from any automation or lead capture records.
- For order-related data stored in Shopify: we will action your deletion request with Shopify as a data processor. Please note that certain order data may be required to be retained for a period by applicable accounting, tax, or legal obligations (typically 7 years under Indian law). We will inform you of any such limitations in our response.
⚠️ Legal Note (review with a lawyer):
If you serve customers in the EU, GDPR's "right to erasure" (Article 17) may apply. There are specific exceptions (e.g., data needed for legal claims or compliance with a legal obligation) that limit the right. Under India's DPDP Act 2023, similar rights of erasure exist. The exact scope of what can and cannot be deleted, and how to notify users of exceptions, should be reviewed by a lawyer for your markets.
Expected Turnaround
We aim to action all data deletion requests within 15 business days of receiving your email. You will receive a confirmation reply when the deletion has been completed, or an explanation if any data must be retained for legal reasons.
Third-Party Data
If your data has been shared with our data processors, we will also request deletion on your behalf:
- Shopify: Order-related data deletion is subject to Shopify's data retention policies and applicable legal requirements. We will coordinate with Shopify and inform you of the outcome.
- Railway: Server-level logs may be retained for a short period by Railway per their own data retention policies. We do not control Railway's infrastructure logs directly, but any application-level data will be deleted from our database.
You may also contact Shopify and Railway directly using their own privacy/data request processes if needed.
Revoking Instagram Permissions
You can also revoke our app's access to your Instagram account at any time directly through Instagram:
- Go to your Instagram profile → Settings → Security → Apps and Websites.
- Find Radikikk Ecommerce (or the connected app name) and tap Remove.
Revoking permissions stops any future data collection but does not automatically delete data already stored. Please submit a deletion request via email to ensure stored data is removed.
